TRIPADA SINGAPORE INTERNATIONALÉ SCHOOL

ANNUAL REPORT OF 2018-19

The Annual Report of the journey of TSI in a gist.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.

Examining this quote of Martin Luther King very critically and in all simplistically we at TSI understand and strive to actionalize this in the class room . Pedagogy needs to transacted in the so called classroom. 21st Century Skills need to developed in the young students.

One interesting way of doing this is at TSI was to introduce into the class room different methodologies of teaching like project based method, Activity based method , research based method, Experiential Method, flipped classroom and at TSI we do follow a permutation –combination of all this .

And this what we at TSI focuses - on core academic subjects -the foundation of a good education with No Child Left Behind (NCLB) as basis of our philosophy through its Curriculum and Learning skills like Information and Media Skills, Visual Literacy, Communication Skills, Critical Thinking Skills, System Thinking, Problem Solving, Creative and Innovative Skills, Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills, Self -direction, Adaptability, Ethical behaviour , Accountability, Leadership and Project Planning and Development , Organizational Skills culminating in Leadership Skills.

Because we believe all of this required to make children holistic learners.

At TSI trained teachers scaffold learning skilfully to allow the students to think critically, research and self- learn. At TSI to help students make meaningful connections, teachers create 21st Century context for learning by

  • Making content relevant to students’ lives
  • Bringing the world into the classroom
  • Taking students out into the world
  • And creating opportunities for interactive authentic learning experience.

This makes learning long lasting and a pleasure.
